Permanent Makeup Doesn't Hurt

Permanent Makeup Doesn't Hurt

"I won't do PMU, it really hurts!!!"

A story from my experience. My younger sister had her eyelids tattooed. As a consequence, she had to take a week off sick leave (one eye was swollen) and make friends with shadows forever, because the arrows were done ugly. It was seven years ago in Krasnoyarsk.

As a result of the pain shock, she didn't trust the procedure of overlapping crooked arrows, even to me. I managed to convince her of the need for correction only six months ago.

What was my surprise when we spent most of the procedure time getting the person to relax and trust. So deep sat the horror of years of pain.

We ended up getting our eyelids done and even with a blend-in, the result is great!!!! BUT! Not everyone's older sister owns her own Permanent Makeup parlor. What about those who can't overcome their fear?

I will tell you about how anesthesia works today.

Modern PM techniques have a strict ban on deep "plowing" of the skin. And that means that the maximum depth of work on the surface should not exceed 0,5-0,8 mm! For comparison, the depth of work in a tattoo is not less than 2 mm.

The surface of the skin after treatment with antiseptic is worked through with primary anesthesia in the form of a cream based on ledocaine. By the way, you are not allergic to this drug?

Exposure time is no more than 15 minutes. After that, you can safely proceed to work. For particularly sensitive skin, a secondary anesthesia is provided. The secondary anesthesia is applied to the already treated surface and penetrates into the deeper layers of the skin (the upper layer of dermis), which makes it as frozen and insensitive as possible.

Very often people tend to fall asleep by the middle of the procedure.

Many techniques are recommended to be used WITHOUT anesthesia. Do you know why? Because if a person is in pain, it indicates that the PMU master has gone too deep and there is a high risk that the Makeup will get an undesirable shade (blue or purple).

This applies to the Feathering Arrow and to the Hair Technique.

Not all masters and clients are ready for such a test, but it works!

Separate place is occupied by anesthesia for Lip Permanent Makeup. The work area is large, the surface is really sensitive. What can I say. TIME! You just need to increase the exposure time of primary anesthesia from 15 minutes to a maximum of 30 minutes.

And then the secondary anesthesia will do its job.

So. The most gentle creatures on Earth! Permanent Makeup today is NOT PAINFUL!

Sincerely yours,
Aleksandra
