A Little About Myself, or How I Got Into the Profession
It was a very long, sometimes strange and illogical way. I was born in a remote corner of Russia - the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia). My family was not rich, but it was friendly! Parents invested in us the desire to learn and improve! My sister and I studied at a music school, there was no time for stupidity! And there was time for dreams... I always dreamed of becoming a doctor! Saving lives!
But I also had a hobby! I always liked making people more beautiful. Since childhood, my younger sister has been subjected to endless experiments with various makeup techniques. My friends asked me to make them up before going to the disco. Even my Mom ended up coming to me for makeup advice. That's when I wondered how I could prolong the effect...
I didn't dream of becoming a PMU master or a trainer. Everything was going by itself. I just watched women. All different ages, ethnicities, levels of wealth. Watched and thought about how beautiful they all were! Each one in her own way. I generally have great respect for women! This topic deserves a separate discussion ❤️
"I wish these eyebrows were a shade brighter", "This girl needs a little eye makeup", "I wish I could make these lips more expressive", "There's an obvious asymmetry in these eyebrows, I need to fix them. And I know how!"
Unfortunately, I didn't become a doctor. I studied at the university at the Faculty of Economics, successfully graduated and worked in my specialty for a long time. Made a very respectable career in a serious international company. However, my hobby has not gone away. The desire to make people more beautiful, to note subtle nuances in every face did not disappear anywhere. Never.
Life will take care of itself. I kept bumping into various articles and press releases about PMU championships. I looked at these commercials and thought, "I can do this too! I can do better!”
One of my mottos is: "Don't think! Just Do It!" So I did. A long and continuous path of learning the art of Permanent Makeup began. To be honest, in my first training tutors did not teach me ANYTHING! That's when I already decided that someday I would teach! Qualitatively! Strongly!
Later there were dozens of master classes, advanced courses. My hand became confident! My collection of tattoo machines grew with me. From Chinese pen to serious machines made in USA and Germany. The industry developed. I was developing too! It was a long and very interesting journey.
How It Was
I named the School&Studio after myself quite consciously. Because I am responsible for my work with my reputation, I am responsible for every face that a woman entrusts to me. I answer with my name.
I have identified for myself the main principle - to do the work so that everyone noted that you look great, but no one guessed why. And also, of course, so that the husband did not guess🤭 This has become my motto and even a slogan. Forever.
My first studio was located in the center of Moscow. A tiny basement at Chistye Prudy. By the way, this is my favorite area of Moscow! Calling it a studio is a bit of a stretch. But it was a start! Later there were two more studios, and each is slightly larger than the previous one. By this time, my hand had become even more confident. More than a thousand works have been done. It was time to scale!
The Chistye Prudy stage is over... I move to a magnificent, spacious studio in Bolshoy Starodanilovsky Lane, five minutes from the Tulskaya metro station. I start teaching!
Over the years, a small room on the ground floor has become an International School&Studio of Permanent Makeup&Tattoo. Learning under my brand has become an integral part of the profession. Students from Italy, Poland, USA, Egypt etc. came to Moscow to become Permanent Makeup Artists. I became a brand ambassador for PMU pigments! I opened my own online store for PMU&Tattoo artists. Held a huge number of training seminars. I grew up to become a judge of Permanent Makeup championships! Everything was spinning, developing and working!
What Is Today
I got married in 2020. You can read this romantic story of two adults on my personal Instagram ❤️ Everything is great, but! My husband lived in Israel. I was faced with a very difficult choice. Family or my business grown with my own hands and brains in Moscow?
In November 2021 we landed at Tel Aviv airport with my husband and two Labradors! A new stage in my life began. A stage where I am starting everything from scratch!
Who Does It
I am still a practicing TOP master of my studio.To date, my experience is more than 6000 procedures. Absolutely anyone can sign up for a procedure with me. I am also a trainer at The Browshow PMU&Tattoo School&Studio by Alexandra Shandetskaya.
Only our graduates can become a Permanent Makeup master in my studio. This is a double quality control of our team's work. Students take only full-time course "Deep Immersion in the Profession". During two months of serious training, they take qualification exams, simultaneously honing their skills. Thus, we are sure that our employees are highly qualified personnel, not amateurs who received a certificate after two days of master classes in other educational institutions.
